THANK YOU from LAMS PTO to the community!

You are so generous! You donated enough gift cards for all of the LAMS teachers and staff to have one. We distributed them (wrapped in a blue bandanna along with some other goodies) to the staff mailboxes this week. Thank you so much! We have already received several thank-you notes from staff.

LAMS PTO is collecting gift cards for LAMS teachers and staff.

May 4-8 is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and the LAMS PTO would like to say THANK YOU to our teachers and staff for their hard work and dedication to making LAMS a wonderful learning environment, even in the face of COVID-19 and all of the challenges it has created.

Since we will not be able to hold our Spring Staff Appreciation Luncheon, we would like to collect gift cards to celebrate and thank our teachers and staff. We would like to ask the LAMS community to donate $10 gift cards that we can distribute to our teachers and staff.

We are putting together a list of local businesses that sell gift cards, and will send you a link to that list in a subsequent message. Many local and national businesses now provide electronic gift cards, which are preferred for ease of non-contact collection and distribution.

We would like to collect these gift cards by Friday, May 8 at 5pm.

For electronic gift cards, please email them to LAMS PTO Treasurer Chris Jordan:
(lamsptotreasurer@gmail.com)

For physical gift cards, please drop in the collection box at Chris Jordan’s house: 775 47th St., Los Alamos. (Take Trinity to 47th Street and turn right onto 47th Street.  It’s an orange/tan colored house on the left.) There is a box on the front porch labeled “LAMS PTO”.  People can drop gift cards in the box, ring the doorbell, and leave. Chris will then come out and get the cards out of the box.

If someone would like to volunteer to collect gift cards in White Rock, please contact PTO President Scott Doebling at losalamosmiddleschoolpto@gmail.com.

Thank you for your continued support of LAMS teachers and staff, and stay healthy!
