Thank You

Thank you to our donors! Your donations benefit our wonderful students and staff.

“The PTO money is most valuable for me in that it allows me to make purchases at the very beginning of the year when I’m waiting on purchase orders. I usually use the money to purchase a folder for each of my students, and I have bought storage boxes to hold those folders, organized by table group or class period. Another invaluable resource that I have purchased with PTO funds is supplies to put together my teacher notebooks, which I use to organize my lesson plans and materials. I bought a heavy-duty binder for each class that I teach, heavy-duty sheet protectors, and numbered tabs to organize my lesson plans, resources, and originals by week of the semester. Finally, sometimes I buy treats (candy, hot chocolate, popcorn) for my students for activities in class, such as our Mug Party, where students are served hot chocolate in ceramics mugs that they made themselves. I often spend my own money on this, as food cannot be purchased with the moneys that we get from the state. The PTO money allows me to use my own discretion about what (and when) I should purchase for my classroom.” -Laura Parkison

Our students are SO GRATEFUL that our PTO provides snacks for them during testing. It makes a huge difference!”

Prizes for Christine Gramer’s classes

I have bought a case for my computer, class supplies and student rewards with PTO money.  It has been awesome to be able to buy when you see something and not have to wait for a purchase order.

The PTO money they gave me last year went towards buying supplies for the Journalism class, including batteries and prize ribbons.

PTO purchased a new set of Science Bowl buzzers last year!  It is very helpful to practice with the equipment that they use both at the regional and national contests. Much appreciated!

Two Keurig machine rentals for staff use

Extra Lab/ Science stuff to update what we have/ need as many items were lost or damaged in the move. I did not receive funds for my 2 new electives (astronomy and forensics)- so I really DESPERATELY needed that money to even have those classes (we have a fee this year, which may only make a dent) as well as buying books/ curriculum for those electives.

Last year, my PTO funds covered a classroom set of “A Wrinkle In Time”.  It was amazing and allowed absent students to keep up with the reading in class!  THANK YOU!!!

PTO has always been very generous with the Living Skills Program.  Not only have they provided us with stipend money, they have helped out in many other ways.  When we have been short on student personal items (diapers, wipes, chucks, gloves) the PTO has always come through for us.  This has saved me a bit of my own money as students cannot get through the day without these things. In addition, we have been able to do many wonderful cooking projects and holiday and birthday celebrations because of the funds provided.  Mostly we buy food and snacks along with water and sometimes lunches for our students. The funds have also allowed us to get a bit of adaptive playground equipment along with some occupational and physical therapy tools. I am sooooo grateful for all the PTO does for us.  It may seem like just a little, but we are grateful for every item donated and every penny is put to good use.

Very thankful.

I have asked the PTO to reimburse for some of my Recreational Reading costs this year.  We have bought books and pillows for my readers and THEY LOVE THEM!

Thank you PTO!
